Amaury Bischoff say he's coming !

Arsenal are weighing up a move for Werder Bremen's French-born midfielder Amaury Bischoff.

Werder Bremen midfielder Amaury Bischoff claims Arsene Wenger will sign him when the Arsenal manager returns from Austria.

Amaury Bischoff had this to say

“A few details are still to be finalised,”

“And most of all we’re waiting for Arsene Wenger’s return, he’s in Vienna for the Euros final.”

“But I’m hopeful I’ll sign in the next few days. Arsenal are a step higher (than Werder). I think I’ll play for the reserves at the start to recover my sensations, as I’ve not been playing for a long time.”

“And then it’s up to me to earn my place. The asset is that there’re a lot of games in England.”

“I’d have played much more without my thigh injury, because the technical staff trusted me,”

“But I at least took part in 10 or 15 Bundesliga games from the bench and did train with great players such as Diego, [Johann] Micoud, [Torsten] Frings or [Ivan] Klasnic.”

“It made me improve a lot. For the moment, my career is abroad.”

Lucho to leave Porto

Porto midfielder Lucho Gonzalez has admitted for the first time that he is likely to make an exit from Portugal this summer. A host of clubs are queueing up to land the talented centre mid.

Aston Villa, Fiorentina, Arsenal, Liverpool and AS Roma are all among the clubs showing an interest in Lucho.

"Personally, I think that this is the right moment to look for another challenge," he told O JOGO. "The players end a cycle in each club and I feel I have given many things to FC Porto, just like the club to me, and this is the right moment to take a decision that is good for everyone."

"The board wants me to stay but I have already expressed my intention to them."

Arsenal eye Valencia's David Silva

Arsene Wenger is reported to be eyeing Valencia's David Silva as Alexander Hleb's replacement should he leave the Emirates this summer.

Hleb has made no secret of his desire to leave Arsenal with Barcelona the latest club to have shown interest in the Belarus midfielder. However for a deal to be made Arsenal would demand £5 million and Yaya Toure in return.

Wenger was in Vienna on Sunday to see Spain's victory over Italy in Euro 2008 - a match decided by Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas in a penalty shootout.

However, it is believed that he was not only there to support Fabregas but to watch Silva and witness what he would bring to the club.

Silva, 22, has had an impressive tournament and his versatility to play on either the left, the right or just off the frontman would no doubt appeal to Wenger.

A source at Arsenal said in the Sun: "Arsene wasn't just in Vienna to cheer on Cesc - he was there to take a good look at Silva.

"He is a player who would fit well in the Arsenal set-up especially if Hleb goes."

Arsenal linked with Marcos Senna, £6million La Liga star

Another La Liga player has been linked with a move to Arsenal Football Club.

Valencia pair David Villa and David Silva have already been linked with the Emirates Stadium this summer, following their impressive performances for Spain at Euro 2008.

And now it is believed that Arsene Wenger is keen to add Villarreal midfielder Marcos Senna to his squad, and he is willing to pay as much as £10million to land his target during the summer transfer window.

How true these rumours are remain to be seen; after all, Wenger rarely offers players over 30 lengthy contracts and Senna, once a target for Manchester United, is 32-years-old next month.

Arsenal in shock move for Peter Crouch.

(What's this?)Arsene Wenger is considering a shock move for Peter Crouch to replace striker Emmanuel Adebayor, it emerged last night.

The Arsenal boss is also watching Euro 2008 Germany flop Mario Gomez and Blackburn hitman Roque Santa Cruz as he prepares to sell Adebayor to AC Milan.

Super-agent Vincenzo Morabito told Italian TV show Studio Sport: "Arsenal are exploring the transfer market for a substitute for Adebayor.

"The names being talked about are Peter Crouch, Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz and Germany forward Mario Gomez.

"What are the chances of Adebayor joining Milan? At this stage, we are at 70 per cent to 80 per cent."

Morabito, one of the agents involved in the deal, revealed that the Gunners are willing to let their Togo marksman leave once they get one of the replacements on their three-man shortlist.

Liverpool are willing to part with Crouch - who has one year left on his contract - for around £12million

Arsenal after Igor Akinfeev.

The Arsenal boss is desperate to add a quality goalkeeper to the arsenal squad as Jens Lehmann will soon be on his way out. The eccentric keeper might be soon on his way out if he is only offered a one year extension to his contract. But with Igor keen to move to arsenal and Arsene keen on the player after his impressive display against arsenal in the champion’s league. Akinfeev is said to be delighted with the attention shown by arsenal he said “I am delighted that a club with such caliber are interested in me. You can’t have too many chances like that in your career. Of course if they make an offer I’ll take it seriously and will think about it”. When a great team such as arsenal comes along you don’t think about it Igor you jump without thinking about it.

Arsenal and Chelsea pursue Real's Robinho

Arsenal and Chelsea are leading the chase to sign Real Madrid forward Robinho.

The Brazilian has spent three seasons with the Spanish giants but has failed to hold down a regular first team place at the Bernabeu.

In demand: Robinho remains popular target among Premier League clubs
The 24-year-old has admitted to his interest to start a fresh by moving to the Premier League and his agent has confirmed there remains a number of suitors interested in the former Santos player.

Robinho's agent, Wagner Ribeiro said that there was "certain" interest from English clubs but added in Spanish newspaper Marca that: "the decision remains in the hands of Real Madrid because they have a contract with him".

Robinho's representative had earlier this month stressed Chelsea's eagerness to sign the player. Last month Riberio claimed he had met chief executive Peter Kenyon and that the club were "considering making an offer of €35 (£28m)" for the player.

That came at a time when Chelsea were without a manager following Avram Grant's dismissal. With Phil Scolari due to take over the post on July 1, the Brazilian coach may look to step up his efforts to sign a player who has failed to fulfil his potential since his arrival in Europe.

Arsenal are also thought to be monitoring Robinho's situation at Real. The club have been linked with a move for the player since his arrival at Madrid and may need to bolster their attack if Emmanuel Adebayor leaves for AC Milan.

The club have already lost Mathieu Flamini to the Italians this summer and Arsene Wenger is adamant the Togo international will not be sold.

Arsenal are already hopeful of tying up one deal this summer with the arrival of Marseillie star Samir Nasri.

The deal is not expected to be concluded until the end of Euro 2008 but Athletico Madrid are poised to scupper the deal with a last-ditch bid.

The club are hoping that the promise of regular first-team football will persuade the 20-year-old to move to Spain.

Arsenal are eyeing Porto midfielder Paulo Assuncao.

The Portugal international has become available from Porto after having his contract cancelled and has held talks with Atletico Madrid.

Arsenal and Fiorentina are also keen to speak with Assuncao.

Obertan, the new Henry, Ronaldo and Zidane clone coming to The Arsenal.

Arsenal are said to be keeping tabs on highly-rated Bordeaux striker Gabriel Obertan who rejected joining the Premier League earlier last month.

The 19-year-old youngster has scored twice for “Le Girondins” in 26 appearances, most of those coming off the bench.

Obertan is 6 ft 1 foward blessed with “Thierry Henry” style speed and a dribbling ability likened to former France international legend Zinedine Zidane.

Playing in more of a “Bergkamp” role for Bordeaux, Obertan has reportedly been watched by Gunners’ French based scout Gilles Grimandi who has recommended him to Chief scout Steve Rowley.

Both Chelsea and United monitored his progress before he signed professional terms with Les Girondins in July, but Obertan has stressed that he never seriously considered a switch to England.

Experienced former Bordeaux forward Jean-Claude Darcheville believes Obertan is destined for great things, and has likened the youngster to Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo due to his talent for dribbling.

Manchester City’s £8m-rated Joe Hart wanted by Arsenal.

The Daily Star today claims that Arsenal are set to launch an £8 million bid to land Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart. However,Arsenal may find competition from the likes of Tottenham who have also expressed an interest.

Wenger is set to offer £8 million pounds for the star, whereas Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is ready to offer Paul Robinson plus £4 million to land the keeper.

All the signs are that Hart could be available and ready to leave Manchester City given the recent turmoil at Eastlands.

Reports also suggest that City have offered little improvement on his contract, which is said to have upset the England under-21 international.

Arsenal target £7million Kirkland

Arsenal Football Club are prepared to spend £7million on Chris Kirkland.

With Jens Lehmann having left the Emirates Stadium in the summer and Manuel Almunia nor Lukas Fabianski convincing, Arsene Wenger knows he must look for a new goalkeeper at the end of the season.

And reports claim the Frenchman is willing to pay £7million for England hopeful Kirkland, although the former Liverpool player insists he is happy to stay at Wigan Athletic and repay their loyalty.

"It is nice to be talked about but I'm happy at Wigan," Kirkland told The Guardian. "Wigan took a chance on me when not a lot of others would and repaying them is the most important thing.”

Despite these comments, the 26-year-old will almost certainly be interested in the chance to move to the Gunners and have the chance to feature in the UEFA Champions League and challenge for honours.

Bolton goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen is on the verge of quitting the club he has been with for a decade with Arsenal watching developments closely.

The 32-year-old Finn is Bolton's longest serving player in the first-team squad and is highly rated both within the club and beyond.

Saving grace: Jussi Jaaskelainen would provide more than able cover for Manuel Almunia

As well as Arsenal, Inter Milan have already expressed an interest and a number of European clubs would be keen to take the player off Bolton's hands.

Jaaskelainen cost just £100,000 back in 1997 and has played a major part in Bolton's rise from the second tier of English football to an established Premier League side playing in Europe in that time.

Contract negotiations with Bolton have stalled and Jaaskelainen's agent Peter Harrison believes it is unlikely they will be revived.

Switzerland midfielder Gokhan Inler's stock has risen considerably after his displays at Euro 2008, according to reports in his homeland.

The Udinese star was one of his country's stand-out performers as the co-hosts slipped out of the tournament at the group phase.

Swiss newspapers report that the 23-year-old has a buy-out clause in Italy worth just under £8 million and a number of clubs took specific interest in his display against Portugal.

Blick states that Arsenal and Sunderland were among the sides following Inler closely with several Italian outfits also keen to keep him in Serie A.

Inler plays in a defensive midfield role and will be off the radar regarding any developments in the coming fortnight as he is travelling to Portugal for a summer holiday.

Since making his international debut in 2006, he has become a vital cog for Switzerland and Udinese would be loathed to lose him.

Having seen a lot of him for FCZ I would say he's not really good enough, but might be a bit of a Flamini, and could do a job.

Eto'o coming to The Arsenal finally ?

Maybe Eto'o is on the way, although his agent has rubbished reports that he has already had his medical.

So maybe Eto'o and Yaya Toure for Adebayor and Hleb.

I could live with that.

Galatasaray’s young defender Semih Kaya has attracted the attention of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and Serie A powerhouse Inter Milan, according to the player’s agent.

"Semih Kaya is the captain of the national under 17 team in Turkey," Kaya's agent, Yarar Ali Togutay told calciomercato.com.

"He is a central defender and very strong already with solid experience, despite his young age.

"Last month, Arsene Wenger invited him to a training camp at Arsenal and even Inter Milan has made contact with us."

Cypriot starlet Christofi wanted by Arsenal, Man Utd

Manchester United and Arsenal are battling for exciting Cypriot prospect Demetris Christofi.

Christofi is seen as one of Europe's hottest young talents. His £800,000 move from ENP FC to Omonoia was a domestic record in Cyprus despite the fact he is only 19.

With United having lost out on Cardiff's Aaron Ramsey, boss Sir Alex Ferguson is desperate to beat Arsene Wenger to the striker's signature.

Christofi has been capped by his country and Omonoia are keen to cash in on their star man to the tune of £3 million, says the People.

Arsenal chase Arda Turan

Arsenal are rumoured to be interested in landing Turkey international midfielder Arda Turan from Galatasaray. It is believed that Arsene Wenger is attempting to prize the Turk from under the noses of Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan.

Arda Turan comes with a hefty £10 million price tag, but as of yet has not spoken to any Premiership sides regarding his future.

An impressive start to Euro 2008 and helping Turkey move through into the next round of the tournament has seen Turan's price rise considerably, and may even put him out of Newcastle's price range.

Podolski in shock Arsenal link

Lukas Podolski has been linked to Arsenal in a shock transfer move. The Germany international striker is reportedly ready to quit Bayern Munich.

Podolski started the Euro 2008 on fire, bagging two goals in his first game for Joachim Loew's side.

Now the former FC Koln man is ready to make a move elsewhere after a summer of persistent links to Premiership sides; including Man City.

It seems that Arsenal are possibly in the driving seat though, and it is understood Bayern Munich may accept an offer of around £15 million to land the talented forward.

Arsenal show keen interest in Daniel Parejo.

The 19-year-old midfielder is one of the most highly-regarded young players in Spain.

Parejo played a leading role in Spain Under-19s European Championship victory and that led to interest from Liverpool.

But now Arsene Wenger's scouts are taking a keen interest in Parejo - who spent last season with Madrid's B team Castilla.

Parejo is tipped for big things and Real legend Alberto Di Stefano told As: "Parejo is the best talent in Madrid's youth teams."

However, should Arsenal or any other sides push ahead with a bid for Parejo - it is claimed Real will want as much as 15million euros (£11.8million).

Friday 13 June 2008

And just to finish off today, as I've arrived in Bern almost, we are also linked with Deco, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Thierry Henry and Gennaro Gattuso.

And Diego Maradona is planning a come-back too.

FFS, this transfer season is bollocks, like every year, and this train journey has shown me that...as if I didn't know it !!!

Edu coming back ?

For god's sake, will this football rumour shite have no end ?

Arsenal's Wenger considers £8m bid for Wolves' in demand goalkeeper Hennessey

Arsenal head a host of Premier League clubs chasing Wolves keeper Wayne Hennessey as boss Arsene Wenger mulls an £8million offer. The Wales international, 21, is on the Emirates radar after a string of impressive displays for club and country, reports the Daily Mirror.

Wolves insist publicly that Hennessey is not for sale as Mick McCarthy's side aim for automatic promotion next season.

Wenger targets Muller

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is in pole position to sign Barnsley goalkeeper Heinz Muller for £1million.

Muller joined from Lillestrom for £175,000 at the start of the season and has emerged as one of the best keepers outside the top flight.

Liverpool, Everton and Aston Villa have also been tracking the 29-year-old, who has a £1m release clause in his contract at Oakwell.

Arsenal have made a move for Barcelona reject Ignasi Miquel.

Miquel, 15, is now with Cornella after failing to initially make the grade at Barca. However, his form this season has sparked interest from his former club, which now appear set to miss out on the exciting prospect.

El Mundo Deportivo says Cornella have received an approach from Arsenal - via fax - about taking Miquel for trials. The youngster shares the same agent - Joseba Diaz - as Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas.

In February Miquel met with Gunners boss Arsène Wenger and was given a tour of the club's training facilities and mixed with several senior players.

Barca are desperate to take Miquel back, but now appear to have lost out to Arsenal, which are now favourites to sign the player when he turns 16.

Arsenal Linked With Rosenborg’s Skjelbred

The 20-year-old Norway international is highly-rated and in October 2007, he was named as one of the world's 50 biggest talents by Italian football magazine, Guerin Sportivo.

He had refused a youth contract with Liverpool after a week’s training, and instead joined Rosenborg in 2004.

Aston Villa's Gareth Barry is being targeted

Arsenal are preparing to enter the race to sign Gareth Barry and are also considering a bid for £12 million rated Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani.

Arsene Wenger has drawn up a shortlist of players he wants to add to his squad this summer and his priority is beefing up a midfield that has lost Frenchmen Mathieu Flamini and Lassana Diarra since the turn of the year.

Wenger is searching for a central midfield anchorman to play alongside Cesc Fabregas, who has told the Arsenal manager that he will not be seduced by Real Madrid or Barcelona into a return to Spain this summer.

The Arsenal manager is weighing up bids for Aston Villa's Barry, who has been a mainstay of the England squad this season since moving to a more central, holding midfield role under Martin O'Neill, and 23-year-old Aquilani, who has won four Italy caps and is also attracting interest from Manchester United.

Pienaar to London ?

Arsenal and Valencia have made tentative enquiries about Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar, according to reports in Germany.

The South African is on loan from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund and is in talks with Everton over a £2.5million move in the summer.

Noble to replace Flamini ?

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is chasing West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble, as Wenger could lose Gilberto Silva as well as Mathieu Flamini this summer.
And now he is set to swoop for the £8million-rated Noble, 21, doubling his £25,000 a week.
An insider said: "Mark's name was certainly mentioned in January when the midfield situation was being discussed but there was no approach.
"But he has become a big target now that Flamini has decided to call it a day."

Mouhamadou Dabo (born 28 November 1986 in Dakar) is a French footballer of Senegalese descent who currently plays for AS Saint-Étienne. He is listed as a midfielder but has often played fullback as well. English giants Arsenal are reported to be interested in seguring his services, with a summer move to London being possible.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has put St Etienne's French star Bafetimbi Gomis on an SOS short-list. Wenger is concerned Emmanuel Adebayor will quit this summer as AC Milan and Barcelona hover around the Togo international. And the Gunners have enquired about new sensation Gomis and Blackburn's Santa Cruz in the past few days. Both would cost upwards of £15million - but that won't worry Wenger, who is determined not to start next season short in attack. Gomis is on Wenger's radar after a sensational run took him to the top of the French scoring charts and into their Euro 2008 squad. Manchester United have also looked at Gomis, 23, but insiders at the French camp say that Arsenal are now the favourites.

TORSTEN FRINGS is the surprise name on Arsene Wenger’s summer shopping list.

Arsenal manager Wenger fancies the accomplished German midfield star to replace AC Milan-bound Mathieu Flamini.

At 31, Frings is older than Wenger’s usual transfer targets but he would be able to beef up a young Arsenal team still searching for its first trophy after THREE barren years.

Frings is regarded as a versatile midfielder with the grit needed to stand up to the rigours of English football.

He currently plays for Bundlesliga side Werder Bremen but would be available for around £4million.

Joao Moutinho to Arsenal ?

Arsenal tried to sign the youngster last summer but he signed a new contract at Sporting, but now the time may be right for him to come to The Gunners.

His role has morphed to that of an attacking midfielder as early on in his career he played as a defensive midfielder. He’s adept in both roles which is likely why Arsenal are taking such a keen interest. At age 18 he burst into the Sporting first team while still on a 1500 euro per month youth contract. That deal was quickly adjusted to his newfound status, and now has received an even bigger pay increase 2 years on to match his importance to the club.

Boruc the new keeper ?

Arsenal could offer £6million for Celtic keeper Artur Boruc in the next few days, according to reports.

Newspaper claims suggest that the two clubs have already held initial talks about the transfer as Arsene Wenger continues his search for a new first-choice goalkeeper. While Celtic fans will hope the rumours are nothing more than paper talk, conspiracy theorist do have a few things to go on, blah, blah, blah.

And probably a certainty to happen is Aaron Spear from Plymouth is joining The Arsenal...or Newcastle United.

The 15 year old ( YES, FIFTEEN ) has been given permission to speak to other teams !!! The 'new' Wayne Rooney, by all accounts.

Plymouth announced this news on their official website this afternoon, and released a statement in which chief executive Michael Dunford stressed they want the player to say, but as his scholarship is coming to a close they are resigned to losing him.

“We don’t want Aaron to leave us, but he is determined to speak to these Premiership teams.”

“We have, therefore, reluctantly, given him permission to talk to them.”

Micah Richards coming.

In a signing that will be as sensational and succesful as Sol coming to THOF, it has been revealed by a source at Man City that Micah Richards is coming to The Arsenal.

The 19-year-old was a target of Chelsea during the January transfer window, and although Richards has said he would be tempted to move to London in the future, it would be to join his boyhood club Arsenal rather than the Stamford Bridge side.

Richards, who was born in Birmingham and grew up in Leeds, said: "I was a big Ian Wright fan when I was younger, so I supported Arsenal.

"Wright and Patrick Vieira were my idols so if the opportunity came to play for them one day I'd take it."

He agreed a new five-year deal with City, worth in the region of £2.3 million-a-year.

But uncertainty over Man City's future and owner Thasksin Shinawatra's unwillingness to invest heavily or sort out contract issues with other players has unsettled the defender.

Richards had no intention to leave Manchester City, highlighted by the length of contract he signed in February.

The feeling in the players' camp is that he can learn his trade at City before succumbing to the temptation of moving to one of the big four.

Arshavin to the Arse ?

THERE is heightened speculation that reported Arsenal target Andrei Arshavin is set to leave current club Zenit St Petersburg.

The versatile 27-year-old, who can operate either as an attacking midfielder has been reportedly watched by the Gunners as well as bitter rivals Spurs and Newcastle.

The trio have until June 20 to make a move for the Russian, or he is likely to sign a new contract for another year at the Petrovsky Stadium.

Zenit official Konstantin Sarsania said: "Andrei wants to try playing in one of the leading European leagues, but if he doesn't leave us by June 20 he'll stay in the team."

Spanish wonderkid Granero linked.

Reports are surfacing that English side Arsenal FC are set to make a move for Getafe and Spanish midfielder Esteban Granero.

The Spain U21 star has been outstanding at Getafe this season after arriving from Real Madrid in the summer and his impressive performance has caught the eye of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Esteban joined the youth ranks of Real Madrid when he was just eight years old and has displayed his footballing talent since he was a child. In one season he scored 83 goals in the Under-10 division and in 1999 he captained the Under-12 B team that won the International Football-7 Tournament held in the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona by defeating Barça 1-0 with his overtime goal. He was also named the best player of the competition.

He joined Real Madrid C at the age of 17, where he stood out for his talent and passing skills. That same season, he debuted with Real Madrid Castilla in a match against Albacete, during which he had a goal assist. Granero made the jump to Castilla in 2006-07, and slowly earned the confidence of coach Míchel until finally becoming an unquestionable starter.

Gunners linked with Balotelli, the Inter wonderkid

ARSENAL have been linked with a yet another one of Europe's top strikers, with Inter Milan's Mario Balotelli the latest name mentioned in connection with the Gunners.

The 17-year-old, who is reported to be represented by his brothers, is reported to be in the middle of a row Inter management and is thought to be reluctant to sign a new contract at the San Siro.

And the latest media reports suggest that Arsenal and fellow Premier League outfits Chelsea and Liverpool have contacted the Seria A giants about the former Lumezzane striker.

Shay Given to play 2nd fiddle behind Almunia ?

Arsenal are lining up a £3.5m bid for Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given.

Or not!

Friday 6 June 2008

WTF!!!

Arsenal chasing Hamburg's Trochowski..........

Hamburg midfielder Piotr Trochowski is a target for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
The News of the World says Wenger is likely to make Hamburg a £5m offer as he bids to replace Mathieu Flamini and give some support to Cesc Fabregas.

Christian Zapata linked.

Arsenal are reported to have failed with a £9.5million bid for Cristian Zapata.

The Udinese star is rated highly in Europe and he is being tipped to move on this summer.

The 21-year-old Colombian joined the Bianconeri in 2005 from Deportivo Cali and he has been a regular for them over the past three seasons.

Milan, Juventus, Internazionale and Fiorentina are all sniffing round - but Wenger is also keen to land the young central defender.

Arsenal are believed to have made their interest known with a deal just below £10million - but that is still someway short of meeting Udinese's valuation.

Zapata has four-years left on his contract at the Friuli and it is believed the club would only consider a deal starting at 20 million euros (£15.8million).
